But seriously. I have decided that an E90 needs to be my next car. However I would loooooove it to be a Wagon. So I’m calling on you to use the power of the internet, to help me find a 9-11,000 dollar, Manual E90 Wagon. I’m fine with a 328i, I’m fine with an X-drive or RWD. But bonus point go to light tan interior, and any exterior color that isn’t white, black, or silver. Even gray is better. The only must is a Manual transmission and less than 120,000 miles.

Can I be the first to talk you out of buying a BMW? I know it’s because mine is broke yet again and I am really over BMW’s right now, but just fuck BMW at this point.
Maybe I shouldn’t be giving advice right now. I am a tad bitter at the moment.

What year and mileage?

2009. 94k miles. Yesterday was sitting in my car waiting to go into work and it just decided to cut power and start sounding terrible. Has the half engine light but no SES. Tried it today and it will turn over but not crank.

9-11,000 dollar, Manual E90 Wagon. I’m fine with a 328i
9-11k wagons are going to be up there in mileage
E90 wagon = E91
US Spec E91s were only available as 328i’s

*cough cough* You’re looking for an E91, not an E90 *cough cough*
Get a Sportcross instead. Join the Zoidberg club. Save yourself the nasty repairs.

Why not buy a vehicle that’ll work and is not a ten year old BMW?

Not exactly. When I was able to get it back started yesterday it would not rev at all. At least the last time it decided to be stupid it would rev to about 2000 and move a little on it’s own.

Maybe the e-throttle is just done for. You have a manual or a 6MT? Not that it would matter in this case.

Good luck. A manual, colored e9x is already a unicorn. Add in the wagon and you better have some fantastic luck.
I looked on the Seattle Craigslist page and there were only two cars with manuals, one car that wasn’t black/white/silver and only three wagons. And none of those were all together :(

Oddly the first google result is for Turner Motorsport who claim the Wagon was the E91 from 2006-2008 and then became an E90 with the sedan for the LCI from 2010-2012

I have never heard that before. I’m not sure I believe that.
Ran the VIN for that E91 I posted, and the VIN decoder has it as an E91.

I dunno. Gonna get it in the shop next week. This one just baffles me. It’s a tragic with paddle shift. That was my first mistake, but still.

*knocks on wood*
My 2009 N52 powered BMW has been decent in the past 10 months/23k miles.
Let us know what it is, might be something for me to look out for.

It doesn’t make sense that the wagon would have the same chassis code as the sedan either. It is the first thing that pops up on google when you search for 2006-2012 3 series chassis codes though which can cause some confusion.

What ever. That’s like saying a 4th gen Civic isn’t an EF, because the US spec ones are EDs. Or that a 99 Civic sedan is a EJ not an EK, even tho most people call all the 6th gen cars EKs. It’s all semantics

Probably and from Turner Motorsport’s perspective of selling parts E90 vs E91 probably doesn’t matter all that much.

That looks like a pretty nice car right there.

It should come as no shock.
I want that wagon, even if it lacks a sport pack and that’s not the best green ever.

Don’t think they’re too many differences, if any, at least in drivetrain parts.

It’s pretty well equipped and I like that interior color a lot though. And mileage isn’t that bad for $11k.

But sport seats are so much better.
I learned this by driving a non-sports pack E90.

Ah, I didn’t think about that - - mine has the sport seats and yeah, I love them.
